Sokoto Journal of Veterinary Sciences

Sokoto Journal of Veterinary Sciences (SJVS) is open access, peer-reviewed journal published by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto-Nigeria. The Journal was established in 1999 with the objective of promoting the veterinary profession and facilitating the cross-fertilization of ideas in various areas of livestock production and health. 

With effect from 2018, SJVS began quarterly publication in March, June, September and December. Articles published include full research papers, reviews, case reports, short communications and editorials in all areas of Veterinary and Animal sciences, including livestock health and production, diseases of wildlife and fish, preventive veterinary medicine and zoonoses among others.

How to submit an article

Submission of an article is done electronically using the online journal management system powered by ejmanager. Authors are encouraged to register and log in before proceeding with their submission.

Each manuscript submitted should be accompanied by uploading our duly filled declaration statement which must be signed with blue ink/pen by the corresponding author. The authors must verify the final draft to ensure that it complies with our guide to authors. Manuscripts that do not conform with our guide to authors will be returned.

Please remove the name and affiliation of the author(s) in the main article to be uploaded during the final step of your submission.

Kindly note that plagiarism and all other forms of publishing fraud are not tolerated by the Sokoto Journal of Veterinary Sciences. The journal wishes to advise authors that such acts when detected will not be treated lightly.
