3rd Joint AITVM–STVM International Conference, 21 to Friday 24 May 2024, Montpellier, France : Deadline for abstract submission: 16 February 2024

On behalf of the Organizing committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the 3^rd joint conference of the AITVM-STVM* entitled:

‘TROPICAL VETERINARY MEDICINE IN CHALLENGING TIMES:
how should academic and research programs adapt?’

This conference locally hosted by the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD) will be held from Tuesday 21 to Friday 24 May 2024 at the CORUM International Congress Centre in Montpellier, France.

The advancement of the field of tropical veterinary medicine to sustainably support agricultural development is what unites both AITVM-STVM organizations. During the conference, you will be able to exchange and share your experiences and research results in all aspects of tropical veterinary medicine through keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations. It will be a unique opportunity to promote young researchers and network within the international research community in veterinary sciences, particularly linking Southern and Northern countries’ academic and research actors.

Both AITVM and STVM have organized successful meetings for decades and joined forces by organizing their first joint conference in Berlin in 2016, followed by a second meeting in 2018 in Buenos Aires. After a COVID-19 related gap, during which a virtual joint event was held in 2022, we are now pleased to be able to meet in person again in 2024. We are therefore eagerly looking forward to four days of exciting presentations and discussions including the famous AITVM-STVM social event in the charming and vibrant city of Montpellier, close to the Mediterranean Sea.

General instructions

If you wish to make a abstract submission, please use the abstract submission form.

The Scientific Committee will evaluate the abstracts and will confirm the type of presentation and scientific theme and/or session retained.

Deadline for abstract submission: 16 February 2024

The conference official language is English. Please submit your abstract accordingly.
Maximum 250 words (title not included).
When applicable, and appropriate, abstracts should be structured with the following subheading: Introduction and objectives; Materials and methods; Results, discussion and conclusion.
If your presentation (poster or oral communication) is selected, all presenters must register, and attend the conference in person to present.

Abstract updates

Closing date for abstract modification is 16 February 2024.

Authors who have already submitted abstracts have the opportunity to modify and/or replace their original abstracts.
To find your access codes to the ‘Author area’, search in your emails notification about abstract submission and abstract number that were sent by noreply@alphavisa.com.

For authors who wish to cancel abstract submission, please contact aitvm-stvm@alphavisa.com mentioning abstract number.
For authors who wish to modify abstract submission, please go to your Author abstract area and use the ‘Edit’ button to correct your abstract in order to submit the updated version.

For oral communications

Abstracts selected for an oral presentation will be 20 minutes long (15 min talk and 5 min for questions);
A laptop (PC and Mac) will be available for speakers.

For posters

Posters will be installed the first day of the conference.
The available surface for your poster is adapted to A0 format: 118 cm (height) x 96 cm (width) // 46.4 in (height) x 37.4 in (width).
Fixings will be provided.
